GOVERNANCE

SYNDICATE

The Syndicate of the Institute shall be the chief executive body of the Institute and shall consist of the following members:

• The Vice-Chancellor (Chairperson – Ex Officio)

• The Senior most Dean (Ex-officio)

• Two representatives nominated by the President of the
               Avinashilingam Education Trust  for a term of 3 years.

• One Dean (other than the Senior most Dean), one Professor,
              one Reader & one Lecturer respectively nominated based on
              seniority  by the Chancellor for a term of 2 years.

• One representative of the UGC for a term of 3 years.

• Two educationists nominated by the Government of Tamil
              Nadu for a period of 3 years.

• The Director of Collegiate Education of Tamil Nadu or his/her
               nominee not below the  rank of Joint Director.

• Two women of learning and administrative skill nominated by
               the Chancellor for a term of  3 years out of a panel of four
               names submitted by the Vice Chancellor.

• The Director of the Avinashilingam Education Trust Institutions.

• Registrar - Non-member Secretary.
